Mark's marathon continues, and all vitals are holding steady. The past several days have been uneventful. He has been unresponsive, but this is due to him being heavily sedated.
Dr Selby has been the doctor on staff this week, and says he is pleased with Mark's status. Kidneys and lungs are both functioning well. And the skin on his chest is looking "much better than he would have expected."

  1. Continuing to pray for Mark as he heals. Even though he is unresponsive, it might be best to control his pain and help him to heal.
May he and the family find comfort in the power of prayer.

  2. Mark, you have been such an integral part of our family since the moment you gulped your first breath of life and let out a newborn scream. Time never diminishes the bond between family and hard times like these just tightens that bond. You are so very loved by all of us and I promise you this, we will be with you every step of the way, ...your recovery is paramount to each and every family member. We will all be there to watch as you take your first steps outside of those hospital doors and we will even wear TN orange! Mark, God and His angels are watching over you and you will win this marathon!

  3. Mark, the reason you are doing much better than that doctor would have expected is because he doesn't know you! If he knew you, he would know how awesome you are and you always do the unexpected. We love you and you are always in our prayers and our thoughts. My boys pray for you every day.

    Love,

    Christy

  9. Mark, the prayers have continued through out, by so many people. One day we will talk about all these trying days, when you are on the road to a full recovery. We will talk in amazement about all the miracles that have occured. Mark, God holds you gently in the palm of His hand and hopefully will grant a "peace that passes all understanding," to family, friends and most of all to you. He is called "The Comforter." Praying, He will continue to give us all strength. The kids, Bill and I pray for you several times a day. It is a comfort to know at almost any given moment prayers are going up to heaven on your behalf. Keep the faith, dear brother and know you are loved.
