Mark's Celebration of Life Service

Mark's celebration of Life service will be held this Saturday, June 27, 2009 at North Cleveland Church of God. The church is located at 335 11th Street NE Cleveland, TN 37311. Family will greet visitors from 1:00-2:00, with services beginning at 2:00. Please come and help us celebrate Mark's life. Saturday is also Mark's birthday. How fitting for us to gather on this day and remember the wonderful man he was.

There will also be a separate gathering to honor Mark in Knoxville on Sunday, June 28, between 2:00-6:00pm. It will be a casual gathering at Preservation Pub, located at 28 Market Square in downtown Knoxville. A time to get together and share memories of Mark.

  2. It was nice to meet Mark's Family. It was a very nice service. The release of the doves was beautiful. How strange that as soon as the service was over, how hard it rained, how the wind blew and the thunder loud.

May the memory of Mark forever shine in your heart. He is always with you.

  3. Mark's services turned out beautiful. Orange and white were prevailing colors from the flowers to the mens ties. Tn fight song was played as everyone exited. Saying goodbye is never easy, but I know this is NOT goodbye, only till I see you again. I know Mark is in paradise today and walks among loved ones gone on before. He is so terribly missed, already. Mark fought a good fight. We must try to be strong and wipe away the tears and remember Mark with a smile and eventually laugh again about his many hilarious antics. I know in my heart that is the way Mark would want it to be. He believed that life was meant to be enjoyed. I had a hard time explaining to the kids why God doesn't always answer prayers the way we want. I guess it comes to the fact that only God knows the future and he must have work for Mark up in Heaven. Mark, you are so dearly missed and I long to see you and hug you one more time. One day we will meet again and it will be such a joyous day! Love you, little bro! Janet
